40 years of the institute of Polish language

The Institute of Polish Language at the University of Warsaw exists since 1st of September 1975. It was appointed after transformation of the Faculty of the Polish and Slavic Philologies into the Faculty of Polish Studies.  The first head of the Institute was prof. dr hab. Mieczysław Szymczak.

The commemoration of the 40 years of the IPL coincided with the celebration of the two-hundred years of the University of Warsaw. The main event of the commemoration was the jubilee conference which took place on 18-19 June 2016. Details about the conference can be found on its website (http://ijp40.uw.edu.pl/) as well as in the "News" section of this site.

A part of the conference was a presentation of books published by the staff of the institute. It can be downloaded as a PDF file here.
